JOB SUMMARY: Implement the Lean Methodology throughout the departments including identifying and implementing process improvement projects that reduce cost, improve effectiveness, and improve productivity.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hands-on and demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs up to and including deployment of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

• Work with entity leadership and operations to define operational and functional requirements for Process

• Assist in data collecting, aggregating, and analyzing of outcome metrics and safety initiatives

• Works cooperatively within department and other services to create and maintain an environment of a 5S Lean Workplace

• Facilitates, leads, and participates in performance improvement and safety meetings as necessary

• Train staff

• Provides formal and informal education on a 5S Lean Workplace and safety initiatives to staff

• Demonstrated successful project leader experience and acumen

• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to interpret and determine a way forward.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving ability. Ability to expedite problem-solving (root cause analysis) complete with corrective action solutions.

• Ability to train 5S lean workplace practices to warehouse associates

 

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to climb and descend ladders, to operate a variety of tools and equipment, and to operate a motor vehicle; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and to distinguish colors in wiring; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards. Finger dexterity needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator, and to operate tools and equipment. Incumbents in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and inspect work sites. Incumbents must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds or heavier weights with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience in deployment of Lean Six-Sigma/Continuous improvement tools

• Demonstrated successful project leader experience and acumen. Highly Organized Individual with strict attention to detail

• Familiar with Microsoft and Adobe applications

• Comfortable with performing task driven work

• Lean Sigma Six Black Belt Certification required

• S5 Lean Workplace experience required
