Aerospace Manufacturing - Production Supervisor

Considered a core role when it comes to helping with team communication, on-time delivery, and quality assurance, the Aerospace Manufacturing Machinist is charged with executing planned activities, helping drive global production plans, and following policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor. 

This is a key position that helps Jetaire Group with the following: 
  • Considered a key role when it comes to team communication, on-time delivery, and quality assurance, the Aerospace Manufacturing Production Supervisor is charged with leading staff, driving global production plans, and enforcing policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor. This is a management position that helps Jetaire Group with the following responsibilities: 

  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and providing professional development of all direct reports.

  • Manage workflow and quality production by monitoring processes, managing personnel and resources, and implementing efficiencies whenever possible.

  • Facilitate course correction to ensure customer satisfaction while working closely with other departments to foster a spirit of cooperation between departments.

  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and coordinating across multiple shift teams.   

  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluates new equipment and techniques.

  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answers questions and responds to requests.

  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implements changes.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating, identifying solutions, and recommending action.

  • Contribute to team effort by helping accomplish related results as needed.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience managing teams larger than 7 people

  • 5+ years’ experience leading manufacturing teams

  • 5+ years’ experience in the aviation or other regulated industry preferred.

  • Lean, 5S background

  • Aviation manufacturing experience (preferred)

  • Experience using quantum software (preferred)
