JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Sales works cross functionally with the sales, engineering, marketing operations, finance, and operations teams to meet annual and long-term financial goals. They will pursue relationships at our customer's senior level to cultivate opportunities to extend additional Jetaire’s products and services portfolio offering. They will also work closely with Jetaire’s executive management to ensure sustained growth of current business and coordination of portfolio expansion. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Director of Sales is responsible for increasing market share and revenues, developing, pursuing, and closing new sales opportunities related to the entire portfolio of products and services of Jetaire’s.

  • Creates demand for the organizations products and services by raising our profile with customers.

  • As a representative of the regional sales function, the job incumbent will be collaborating closely with Aircraft Leasing companies, airlines, MROs, and VIP operators to ensure that the cohesive Jetaire’s growth strategy is being executed.

  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of ten or more customer accounts.

  • Identifies, develops, and typically closes new sales opportunities.

  • Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account.

  • May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the Jetaire’s senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization’s product / service strategies.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of current and emerging customer related activities.

  • Must be a self-starter self-managed individual.

  • Develop the business strategy by analyzing key market trends including competitive products, regulatory developments, and technological advances.

  • Jointly develop a sales growth strategy and programs to increase market share in existing markets and identify and develop new markets. Collaborate and introduce product/marketing promotions and other sales programs to deliver top-line sales revenue objectives. Serve as one of the “key faces” of the business, developing relationships with the target customers.

  • Focus on effectively increasing margins by balancing objectives of growth and profitability through effective product management (optimal portfolio, product mix, pricing approach, customer targets) to deliver volume, gross margin and return on sales goals.

  • Identify inorganic growth opportunities and adjacent markets/offers that we may pursue through acquisition or partnership and cultivate relationships with identified targets.

  • Participate and contribute to necessary monthly business processes and initiatives including forecasting, demand planning, employee development, operational alignment, and sales communications.

  • Must exhibit solid influencing skills.

  • Results driven able to execute with high personal accountability.

  • Strong personal values corresponding with Jetaire’s values (trust, honesty, alignment, transparency).

  • Ability to grow top line.

  • Solid understanding of the aerospace industry, OEMs, and the regulatory framework.

  • Effective communication skills and experience communicating to diverse internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

​

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum ten years of experience in sales marketing or related position in the electrical industry.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, motivational and leadership skills

  • Minimum Five years managerial experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Company products and industry including an understanding of the technical aspects and applications of the products, legislative/regulatory issues, and channels to market.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree preferred.

Position Criteria

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and insight through tools and applications such as Excel, Power BI, and others.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft leasing markets and key intermediaries – MROs, design engineering firms, end customers.

  • Travel up to 65% is expected in this position.

Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities 

  • Must be fluent with MS Office software and other computer applications. 

  • Has solid understanding of the aviation industry. 

  • Negotiation skills.
