INVICTA™ for Boeing 767
FAA Airworthiness Directive 2020-18-16 requires fuel tank flammability reduction for Boeing 767 center wing tanks under 14 CFR 25.981. The compliance deadline is November 10, 2026. Aircraft that have not demonstrated an approved ignition mitigation means by that date are not in compliance with the directive.
Foam Based Solution for Fuel Tank Flammability Reduction
Installation in as few as 4 days with no requirement for fuel purge or ongoing maintenance
FAA, EASA, AFAC, ANAC & TCCA Aviation Fuel Tank Safety Certifications
Bring your Boeing 767 fleet into compliance with minimal downtime using INVICTA™
For 767 operators managing mixed fleets and complex utilization schedules, the compliance decision carries real operational weight. A nitrogen generating system satisfies the directive but introduces mechanical components, ongoing maintenance requirements, and additional airworthiness obligations. A certified foam-based solution satisfies the same directive on installation, with no recurring burden and no downstream compliance exposure. INVICTA™ is FAA STC-certified for the 767 center wing tank.
INVICTA™ SOLUTION SUMMARY
-
Maintenance-free. One installation satisfies AD 2020-18-16. No system to monitor, no FQIS modification required, no additional inspection requirements, and no recurring maintenance tied to the compliance solution.
-
Foam-based. INVICTA™'s reticulated polyurethane foam suppresses fuel ignition without nitrogen generating equipment, associated mechanical systems, or the airworthiness directives that follow them.
-
FAA STC-certified. Supplemental Type Certificate ST04405AT authorizes INVICTA™ installation on Boeing 767 aircraft. Contact us for additional national authority validations.

TURNKEY DELIVERY
Jetaire Group and STS Aviation Group deliver INVICTA™ as a single turnkey engagement — manufacture, logistics, and certified installation coordinated under one contract. Aircraft are returned to service in under one week. The November 2026 deadline leaves a narrow scheduling window. Operators should initiate a compliance assessment now to protect aircraft availability.
CERTIFICATIONS

AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified. INVICTA™ has been installed on aircraft in more than 50 countries.
INVICTA™ VS. NITROGEN GENERATING SYSTEMS
Nitrogen generating systems satisfy AD 2020-18-16, but they introduce mechanical components requiring ongoing maintenance, add system weight, and generate their own airworthiness obligations. INVICTA™ satisfies the same directive on installation, with no mechanical system to maintain and no downstream compliance burden. A full technical comparison is available on the INVICTA vs. NGS page.
