Eastern Airlines Installs Invicta Reticulated Foam Technology System in Six Planes

Jetaire delivered six Invicta kits to Eastern Airlines which meets FAA requirements for 14CFR 25.981 and 121.117 compliance. Jetaire’s Invicta system is a center tank flammability reduction and ignition mitigation method solution, currently FAA-certified for the B737, 737NG, B757 and B767 aircraft as well as the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.

Eastern Airlines, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, is an international Part 121 aircraft operator. The company currently has a fleet of nine Boeing 767 aircraft and operates to multiple destinations worldwide. The company is continuing to expand its fleet and service offerings.

“Jetaire was there for us and delivered the needed kits in a timely fashion, allowing us to continue with our operation,” said John Woolley, Executive Vice President of Strategy for Eastern Airlines. “Jetaire moved quickly and professionally to ensure we were able to comply with the deadline for compliance we were facing.”

Installation of the Invicta system is cost effective and much faster and simpler than other products offered in the market, thus minimizing disruption of customers’ schedules. Once installed, the Invicta system is essentially maintenance-free and completely passive.

“We were on a tight deadline, especially with our first aircraft,” added Woolley. “The installation went smoothly and with minimal downtime. We have been very pleased with Jetaire as our supplier.”
